Our statement to RoHS
The RoHS directive of the European Union has influenced the electrical and electronic industry substantially.
In order to prevent the generation of hazardous waste various substances like lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, cadmium and two brominated flame retardants are used only limited in new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market from 1 July 2006.
FCT electronic prepared itself early for the conversion and push ahead with the necessary conversion steps especially in the field of tin-plated contact terminations and surfaces contaning chromium.
Meanwhile the greatest part of our product range complies to the RoHS requirements. The maximum concentration levels of the substances mentioned above which are permitted by the RoHS directive do not only apply to the whole article or each component but also to each physically separable homogenous material. Consequently it also applies to surfaces.
Thus, you can be sure that whereever you read RoHS compliant the parts are RoHS compliant through and through.
As we operate an enrironmental management system that conforms to the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 14001 we guarantee for responsible handling with health and environmental hazardous substances which is one of our most important concerns.
