SMA coaxial contacts are designed for the frequency range direct current (DC) to 12.4 GHz. By using semi-rigid cables this range can be increased to 18 GHz. The characteristic impedance is 50 Ohm. SMA connectors are available in various assembly-, material- and cable termination- types.
