New platings used in SMT / THT connectors.
Our new connector series for SMT and THT connectors was specifically developed for use with fully automatic assembly; new selective platings for example were used. Compared to standard gold platings these new platings allow for cost reductions while at the same time they improve the product´s processibility and durability.
Tin plating at the termination area guarantees for flawless soldering in the reflow process. The usage of new plating in the mating area allows for a reduction in the necessary gold layer thickness by keeping the pore consistency and the number of mating cycles unchanged. It goes without saying that our new connector series are RoHS compliant and suitable for processing in lead-free soldering.
